Job Description:

  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to support project valuation, budgeting, and forecasting. Use these models to simulate different scenarios and assess their financial impact. Optimize the financial performance of renewable energy projects by identifying and analyzing cost and revenue drivers.
  • Project Valuation: Evaluate the financial viability of renewable energy projects or potential acquisition targets using various valuation methods such as discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, net present value (NPV), and internal rate of return (IRR). Perform due diligence (including benchmarking) and evaluate the financial impact of potential acquisitions.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities (including subsidy regimes and promotional funding sources), and risks in the renewable energy sector. Analyze market data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess financial and market risks associated with renewable energy projects. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Experience: 1-2 years in financial analysis, asset management, or related roles within the renewable energy sector (especially PV/Solar).
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and perform project valuations using multiple methods.
  • Knowledge of Renewable Energy: Understanding of the renewable energy market, including key trends, regulatory and subsidy environment, and payment mechanisms.
  • Educational Background: University degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or related field. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required; German language skills are preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting financial analysis to stakeholders.
  • Willingness to relocate to Vienna and travel as needed.

Note: The salary is based on the collective agreement minimum of €67,606 annually for 39 hours/week, adjusted for experience and qualifications.
