What's the role?

Are you ready to dive into the dynamic world of supply chain and operational excellence? At Hilti, we offer unique internship opportunities where you can explore various aspects of our supply chain and procurement processes. As an intern, you will be part of a specialized team at our Plant in Schaan, engaging in projects across domains such as Lean Management, Procurement, Logistics, and Digital Products. This role provides a comprehensive understanding of how a multinational company operates and optimizes its supply chain. The main objective of this internship is to elevate operational excellence in the production supply chain. You will work on projects related to supply planning, value-stream optimization, and data analytics to enhance speed and agility at our Plant in Schaan. We seek results-oriented, innovative, and self-reliant individuals to join our motivated team, which will support your growth and potential.

What does the role involve?

Our team continuously drives new projects within the supply chain operations. We offer unique challenges and opportunities for students to apply academic knowledge in real-world settings.

If you are interested in streamlining processes and employing lean methods to reduce waste and boost productivity, an internship in Lean Management might be ideal. You will conduct time and motion studies, utilize tools like Value Stream Mapping, implement 5S methodology, participate in Kaizen events, and analyze data to identify root causes of inefficiencies.

If you enjoy analyzing suppliers, developing procurement strategies, and managing sourcing through contract negotiations, consider an internship in Procurement. You will perform spend analysis, source suppliers, monitor performance, and collaborate across plants to shape global procurement strategies. This role includes operational and tactical tasks to prepare you for a global career in procurement.

If planning and improving logistics processes, supporting inventory management, and ensuring timely deliveries appeal to you, an internship in Logistics could be suitable. You will support daily tasks such as KPI reporting, follow-up with suppliers, and participate in projects to enhance logistics processes and standards in the plant.

For students interested in developing digital solutions, working on projects, and supporting business process digitalization, opportunities exist in Digital Products. You will develop standard operational processes, collaborate with IT to implement new software solutions, analyze user requirements, and test digital tools.

These internships offer hands-on experience and the chance to make a tangible impact on our operations.

What you need is:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program focusing on business administration, logistics/supply chain, or (business-) engineering
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in German or English
  • Strong analytical and computer skills, including MS Office
  • Self-motivated, responsible, with good self-management
  • Passionate about process development and hands-on mentality
  • Enthusiastic to learn and driven to succeed

Why should you apply?

We value a diverse team, which we believe fosters vibrancy and productivity. Prior construction knowledge is not required; we focus on your ability, commitment, and drive to succeed.

What do we offer?

Joining our headquarters in Schaan, Nendeln, or Buchs connects you with a diverse community of over 2,100 colleagues from 70 nationalities in a region where Liechtenstein, Austria, and Switzerland intersect. Our employee groups support initiatives like female empowerment and LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and organize leisure activities such as mountain biking and tennis. We also promote community engagement locally and internationally. Benefits include shared e-bikes, an on-site gym, dining options, learning opportunities, and relocation support.
