Our Branch

The Information Services Branch (ISB) supports Council’s activities with innovative ICT solutions, leading the ICT strategy aligned with Council’s objectives, including information management and ICT service delivery.

The Role

The Application Portfolio Manager ensures comprehensive application management services, building relationships with stakeholders and managing vendors for optimal service. Knowledge of ITIL and strong leadership are essential, serving as a trusted advisor to Council.

Reporting to the Application Services Manager, this role involves autonomy and collaboration to manage dependencies and priorities.

To be successful you will have:

  • Experience in ICT service management and operational processes, particularly ITIL Application Management
  • Experience in lifecycle management of applications and establishing application roadmaps
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and ensure alignment with Council’s needs
  • Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders
  • Understanding of customer needs and strategic communication
  • Financial management skills related to service delivery
  • Leadership and influencing capabilities, aligned with Council’s Leadership Blueprint

The role includes being on an on-call roster outside of regular hours and may require a criminal history check and pre-employment medical assessment.
