Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced concrete structural engineer with expertise in Finite Element Modeling to join Fiber Elements GmbH, a dynamic startup in Leoben, Austria. The role involves developing and applying FEA models for basalt fiber-reinforced concrete structures, managing major projects, and leading research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for infrastructure applications.
• Lead development of FEA models for basalt fiber-reinforced concrete structures.
• Manage structural simulation projects.
• Standardize FEA processes and integrate BIM for design optimization.
• Improve digital workflows and lead research projects.
• Collaborate with teams in Vienna and Leoben.
• Potential team leadership in the medium term.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of practical FEA experience.
• Proficiency with ANSYS, Abaqus, CAD.
• Knowledge of BIM tools and AI-driven design.
• Understanding of Eurocode and building standards.
• Experience leading technical teams.
• Fluent in German and confident in English.
