What you do
You will be working with a global community, leveraging and optimising global strategies and applying locally to support growth objectives. You will be part of identifying and defining new and disruptive solutions for our Australian marketplace.
As well as being an active participant in APAC forums, if you had to summarise the core role responsibilities you would be involved in, it would be applying your forensic nature to market and product planning, inclusive developing the Market Insights delivery and driving Customer Lab opportunities, Defining and delivering Market Development Plan and innovations, Defining and delivering Product Development Plan and innovations and Support of the Segmentation and define Channel Plan.
· Deliver optimal product portfolio mix for sustainable growth
· Define and identify products & service needs for the market
· Lead the translation of insights and unmet needs into value propositions for our partners
· Define digital trends and recommend platforms required
· Building systems and processes to support regional competency in our Asian sister countries including market monitoring - size, share, trends and competitive landscape, working with local compatriots
· Ensure outputs meet compliance standards and regulations within the financial services sector
Key requirements/What you bring
· You have 7+ years experience and keen to make a difference in a global company with all the adventures and challenges that this can bring
· University degree in Marketing, Commerce or Business and practical experience in creating growth opportunities through product and market innovations in a B2B2C, B2B and/or B2C environment
· A love for creating change and being resilient to the hard roads to make this happen
· A strategic mindset mixed with creative flair, applying great stakeholder management skills and someone who knows the importance of shaping first, and a doer of tasks second
· Someone who understands the difference between task and bringing people along for the ride, selling the sizzle and the why, not just the what
· Bringing framework and structures to enable the business to identify opportunities from concept to activation
· Able to interconnect the dots from strategy to operationalisation at front line
· Market and/or product development, strategy analyst and innovation experience
· Strong analytical skills and great at interpreting data, confident making recommendations and communicating the result
· Highly developed negotiation and analytical skills, including the capacity to initiate creative and innovative thinking to support the organization to reach its objectives
· Curating your part in a team environment by showing commitment to driving team success and high performance
· Proven success in the development, communication and execution of strategic value propositions in market
· Experience in highly regulated industries and/or compliance obligations, such as financial services would be highly regarded
