The successful candidate will provide senior clinical informatics leadership on the integration of Best Practice with My Health Record, ensuring clinical safety, usability, and legal compliance.
Role responsibilities:
- Lead statewide clinical engagement to gather requirements, assess impacts, and conduct clinical risk analysis across diverse care settings.
- Ensure integration aligns with Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) Clinical Information System and Contracted Service Provider software conformance requirements.
- Support development of clinical support models in collaboration with HHS, ADHA, and technical partners.
- Interpret and apply My Health Record Act, privacy legislation, and relevant Health Service Directives to system design.
- Contribute to enterprise architecture planning for integrated clinical systems such as Best Practice and The Viewer.
Additional qualities:
- Demonstrated high-level management skills transferable across the OCCIO team to ensure alignment with OCCIO's strategy, operational plan, and priorities.
- Ability to advocate for team priorities using negotiation and conflict management skills with statewide stakeholders.
- Capacity to respond rapidly and reprioritize work to minimize risk and disruption to operational service delivery and patient safety.
- High-level management skills and decision-making processes that minimize risk and optimize resources, service, and efficiency.
Mandatory qualifications/professional registration/other requirements
- Proof of qualification in an eligible Health Practitioner discipline and registration or eligibility for membership of the relevant authority or professional association.
- Significant experience in delivering complex information management in healthcare.
- Proven high-level interpersonal, negotiation, consultation, verbal, and written communication skills.
