What you bring to the table

We are seeking an early-to mid-career Town Planner that is looking to take the next step in their career and support our continued success as a leader in Town Planning and Urban Design. In this role, you will ensure accurate and innovative town planning solutions are provided to set our clients up for success. You will develop strong relationships with stakeholders to deliver results and create further opportunities for the team.

Key to this role will be your excellent analytical skillset as well as client focused mindset to ensure strategic goals are achieved. Some of your key responsibilities will also include:

  • Supporting the Project Director to ensure that client projects are delivered on time and to scope.
  • Preparing planning applications for large scale and complex projects.
  • Proactively engaging with clients to understand their needs and advising on potential risks or shortfalls.
  • Completing Development Application process to a high standard.
  • Assessing and negotiating complex planning applications to facilitate successful submissions.

What you will need

  • At least 4 years’ experience in a Town Planning role.
  • Tertiary education in Urban Planning or substantial industry experience.
  • Able to manage priorities effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Well-developed communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships across the business and with clients.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
