MilkBar is a growing business with venues located within two premium residential buildings around the CBD/Docklands. Primarily catering to residents as a 7-day-a-week cafe, MilkBar also operates events and catering services in the building's function spaces. Additionally, there is a steady corporate customer base at each venue, ensuring consistent weekday patronage.
We are seeking a General Manager to oversee operations at both locations. A strong background in hands-on management is essential. As a growth-oriented business, we need a manager willing to engage in all aspects of the operation when necessary, with the goal of eventually having both venues fully managed and staffed. The role may require you to roll up your sleeves and make a coffee from time to time, but primarily, you will manage a team of over 20 employees and be involved in developing new menus and concepts for each site.
The role requires experience in cafes, event management, restaurant operations, and daily administrative tasks such as rostering, ordering, and hiring.
