Embedded Firmware Engineer, Amazon Robotics

As a member of the Amazon Robotics Firmware team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop the next generation of robotic systems used in Amazon’s order fulfillment network. You will work closely with embedded software engineers, electrical, mechanical, and safety engineers to make a significant impact on millions of customers worldwide.

We develop safety-critical, real-time systems and uphold high standards to ensure safe and efficient interactions with our systems, as well as reliable 24/7 operation.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS/MS in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in programming in C
  • At least 1 year of experience developing embedded applications, including source control
  • Experience with software development and debugging in Linux environments
  • Skills in developing deterministic, testable code and supporting test-driven architecture
  • Ability to work with and debug existing codebases, and create well-tested fixes
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RTOS and resource-constrained environments
  • Experience with embedded test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
  • Knowledge of embedded communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN-bus
  • Programming experience in C++ and/or Python
