The Role

As a Business Development Cadet, you'll be mentored by experienced professionals and immersed in a supportive environment where learning by doing is the norm. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for connecting with businesses to deliver smart, sustainable solutions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Researching and identifying new business opportunities across retail, commercial, and industrial sectors
  • Conducting outbound calls to generate leads and introduce Wanless services
  • Participating in door-to-door campaigns to build relationships with local businesses
  • Supporting the team with CRM data entry, sales pipeline management, and client record maintenance
  • Attending client meetings and industry events to learn best practices in sales and relationship management
  • Assisting with the preparation of quotes and proposals
  • Gathering competitor and market intelligence to support strategic planning
  • Collaborating with internal teams to understand how tailored customer solutions are developed
  • Learning how to communicate the value of our services with clarity and professionalism

About You

While industry experience is advantageous, it’s not essential. We’re looking for self-starters who are enthusiastic, goal-driven, and not afraid to knock on doors or make cold calls to create new opportunities.

We are looking for:

  • A motivated individual with a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic, hands-on environment
  • Confidence engaging with businesses face-to-face and over the phone
  • Interest in sustainability and the environmental services sector
  • Have a drivers licence and reliable transport
