As one of Australia’s fastest growing insurance companies, we are looking for a strategic and experienced leader to join our Group Risk team as the Head of Incident Management.

In this pivotal role, you will lead a high-performing team of incident and compliance specialists and take ownership of the Group's incident management and breach reporting framework.

Reporting to the General Manager, Group Compliance, you’ll be responsible for ensuring robust governance and compliance with ASIC, APRA and OAIC requirements, while driving strong outcomes for our customers and the business. You'll oversee the facilitation of the Breach Committee, provide insightful reporting to Executive and Board Committees, and embed a culture of compliance awareness across the organisation.

This is a leadership role that requires not just technical capability, but the ability to inspire a team and influence at the highest levels of the business.

What experience you’ll bring

1. At least 8 years’ experience in insurance operations, ideally with a focus in compliance, legal, or risk functions
2. Strong knowledge of incident and breach reporting frameworks within the financial services or insurance industry
3. Familiarity with regulatory requirements including ASIC, APRA, and OAIC
4. Demonstrated experience with risk management systems
5. Tertiary qualifications in law, compliance, risk, or a related field (preferred)
6. Leadership experience with the ability to guide and develop specialists in a high-performance environment
7. Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly at the senior leadership level
