Description

S&S Tire / Best One Tire & Service, a leading provider of commercial tire products and services in the Vienna, WV area, is seeking a Commercial Tire Service Manager to oversee daily operations. This role is responsible for supervising mechanics, installers, and tire technicians, as well as coordinating service for customer accounts—both on-site and for roadside assistance—to ensure efficient and reliable support.

Essential Functions

  • Schedule and assign tasks based on work priorities, equipment needs, and personnel skills
  • Monitor employee performance and ensure compliance with safety procedures
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
  • Manage budgets, purchasing, and departmental expenditures
  • Requisition tools, equipment, and materials as required
  • Support employee development through coaching and training
  • Investigate accidents and prepare reports with findings
  • Recommend or implement personnel actions, including hiring and disciplinary measures
  • Perform complex maintenance and repair tasks using specialized tools
  • Develop and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures
  • Maintain inventory and ensure proper shop conditions
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on products and services
  • Design or modify equipment to meet operational requirements

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
  • Experience: 2 plus years of relevant industry experience: fleet, truck, farm, heavy equipment, OTR, commercial vehicles, etc.
  • Computer Skills: General Computer skills are required. Familiar with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (e-mail), and able to send and receive e-mail.
  • Must be able to learn how to enter work orders in point-of-sale environment, print work orders, make changes to work orders and produce invoices.
  • Other Requirements: Fork-lift training, OSHA requirements, Safety training and any other training or certifications as required in location.
  • Minimum of 23 years of age, good motor vehicle record (no more than 3 violations in the last 3 years).
