About the role

As the Practice Manager at Horizon Surgical Eye Centre, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of this busy, growing eye specialist clinic. You will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and operational aspects of the practice, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care, supporting the clinical and reception staff. This full-time position is based in Tugun, Queensland.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage the administrative functions of the practice, including patient clinic and theatre bookings, billing, and invoicing.
2. Actively promote our positive, caring culture.
3. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring efficient workflow and high levels of patient satisfaction.
4. Supervise and manage the administrative and support staff, providing coaching and training.
5. Liaise with medical and support staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
6. Manage the practice's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
7. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and industry standards.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a medical practice management role, preferably in an eye care or surgical specialist clinic setting.
• Positive, empathetic, and can-do personality.
• Proven track record in managing the administrative and operational functions of a healthcare practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clinical staff, patients, and external stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Proficient in the use of medical practice management software and other relevant technologies.
• Thorough understanding of healthcare regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
