To support this expansion, we’re seeking a Financial Controller with CFO capabilities to take ownership of financial operations, drive reporting and forecasting, manage risk, and play a key role in strategic decision-making. Role Overview

You will be responsible for leading the finance function across the group. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who can operate across both day-to-day finance and strategic oversight, with a keen eye for process improvement, compliance, and business performance. You will work closely with the CEO and department heads to guide financial decision-making, manage risk, and support future growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting across the group (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).

Prepare consolidated financial statements across multiple entities and product verticals.

Ensure compliance with ASIC, and other regulatory frameworks.

Coordinate and manage annual audits and external financial reviews.

2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Commercial Strategy

Develop and maintain rolling forecasts, financial models, and group-wide budgets.

Provide financial insights and scenario planning to support strategic decisions and capital allocation.

Track KPIs and financial metrics, creating dashboards for executive reporting.

Partner with leadership on business cases for new products, partnerships, and operational initiatives.

3. Cash Flow & Treasury

Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital.

Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and group bank relationships.

Monitor funding lines, facility drawdowns, and lender reporting obligations.

4. Risk, Controls & Compliance

Develop and maintain a financial controls framework, including reconciliations, authorisations, and risk registers.

Implement financial governance policies and ensure compliance

Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks across the business.

5. Systems, Process & Team Leadership

Lead the finance team, managing internal accountants or external bookkeepers as required.

Recommend and implement system improvements and finance automation tools (e.g. Xero, Monday.com, Power BI).

Improve month-end processes, reporting accuracy, and cost control.

About You

We’re looking for a proactive, commercially minded finance professional with strong operational capability and a desire to shape the future of a fast-moving business.

Skills & Experience

8+ years in finance roles, with at least 3 years in a senior finance position.

Experience in financial services businesses (highly regarded).

Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations and provide strategic advice.

Strong systems knowledge (Xero, cloud reporting tools, Excel modelling).

Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and executives.

Strong attention to detail and analytical acumen.
