This position is ideally suited to a Mining Engineer with underground coal experience who is looking to take ownership of mine design, planning, and operational support at a technically interesting and complex site.
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you’ll be part of a collaborative and experienced technical services team, providing critical input into the safe and efficient planning of underground mining operations.
Residential living in the local Moranbah region is welcomed, however FIFO from Brisbane is available on a balanced 5/2 – 4/3 lifestyle roster.
About the Operation
This well-established underground coal mine is located approximately 25km east of Moranbah, in Queensland’s Bowen Basin — a globally significant steelmaking coal region.
The operation utilises both longwall and bord & pillar mining methods, extracting high-quality metallurgical coal for international markets. The mine features a modern Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) and shares infrastructure with a nearby development project, offering exposure to both mature operations and future growth.
