As a Legal Counsel at 21bitcoin, your mission is to direct our regulatory strategies, oversee measures for MiCAR compliance and uphold legal excellence, thereby positioning 21bitcoin at the forefront of the cryptocurrency and Bitcoin industry's regulatory landscape. Your decisive actions will cultivate trust and establish our company as a benchmark for compliance and innovation.

Your tasks will include:

• Formulate and execute a comprehensive regulatory strategy that aligns with the dynamics of the Crypto and Bitcoin industry.
• Guide the company through regulatory challenges, shaping the future of compliance and legal frameworks within the organization.
• Ensure high-standard reporting that meets the expectations of local regulators and auditors.
• Oversee and implement all aspects of the company's compliance and regulatory strategies.
• Define and implement company policies and guidelines in compliance and regulatory matters.
• Collaborate with product and strategy teams to facilitate the creation of new products and guide the regulatory strategy.
• Monitor ongoing regulatory developments, particularly those related to MiCAR and crypto-assets.
• Take charge of legal strategies, driving critical goals for continued growth.
• Manage data privacy and security matters, including policy implementation.

Requirements:

• Expertise in translating intricate legal and regulatory concepts into practical advice for a non-legal audience.
• Background in the Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency sector is a major plus.
• 5+ years in roles focusing on compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Financial Market Authority (FMA) and its regulations.
• Established legal background in a FinTech, financial services environment, or a prestigious law firm, particularly in corporate, transactional, M&A, or private fund sectors.
• Ability to manage a diverse workload and meet strict deadlines autonomously.
