About the Role

The Senior Manager, Cardinal Program is a key and active participant of the overarching Next Generation Computer Aided Dispatch (NGC) Program, playing a key role in leading the delivery of a program consisting of several projects.

The role reports to Director, Next Gen CAD Program.

Leading several project managers, the Senior Manager, Cardinal Program is responsible and accountable for delivery of the Cardinal program on time and budget, including leading and supporting project managers to successfully deliver their projects.

As a member of the NGC program, you will be expected to foster a high-performance culture across the team and build solid relationships with key stakeholders to ensure ongoing business engagement with a mindset of continuous improvement.

You may be required to travel or transfer between your primary work location and other TZV sites to effectively carry out your duties.

The role may be requested to act as Director, Technical Delivery, NGC from time to time as directed.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring a valid schedule is created for each project, maintained and effectively managed.
  • Contributing to the Next Gen CAD integrated master schedule in conjunction with the PMO.
  • Risks and issues are raised, documented and addressed expediently.
  • Ensuring dependencies with Next Gen CAD Program are shared and tracked.
  • Budget is effectively managed (actual & forecast against the budget).
  • Resources are forecasted, recruited, onboarded/offboarded appropriately.
  • Procurements are forecast and managed.
  • Scope change is properly addressed through the Next Gen CAD governance framework and processes.
  • Change Management, Stakeholder Engagement and communication is effective and high quality.
  • Effective management of staff and vendor performance.
  • Effective, transparent and timely reporting of project and program progress and performance.
About You

The successful candidate for this role will be a Managing Successful Programs (MSP) practitioner or have the equivalent qualifications or experience.

Additionally, the successful candidate will bring the following skills and experience:

  • A Diploma/Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Information Technology or related discipline and substantial experience in information technology program delivery.
  • Strong data analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrable knowledge if IT Service Management processes.
  • Structured and data orientated aptitude towards problem solving.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
