Job Description:

An international environment focused on hydro projects. Reporting to the Group Insurance Director, the candidate should possess the following key technical skills:

  1. Liability Insurance Line Management: Annually renew and place global master general and professional liability policies. Coordinate local and project policies as needed. Collaborate with brokers, insurers, and the team to ensure policies meet business needs. Deep understanding of policy language and coverage. Manage complex global third-party liability claims, communicate strategy with defense teams and insurers.
  2. Cyber Insurance Line Management: Renew and place global cyber insurance policies. Collaborate with IT and internal teams. Oversee underwriting processes. Lead cyber incident response for insurance.
  3. Risk Management: Analyze loss data, identify exposures, recommend solutions, implement programs, promote loss prevention, and monitor insurance procedures.
  4. Contract Review: Review and negotiate customer insurance requirements in EPC contracts to ensure compliance with the master insurance program.
  5. M&A: When required, solicit quotes for reps and warranties insurance, analyze offers, and facilitate the process.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Preferably legal education, with a preference for common law backgrounds.
  • At least 10 years of experience in insurance companies, insurance departments of international companies, or law firms.
  • Deep understanding of third-party liability insurance, including global programs and litigation.
  • Ability to work in a global setting, including international travel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; German is an advantage.
  • Independent, precise, with problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented, committed, and globally focused.

Position Details:

Fully remote with potential business trips within the EU and US.

Salary: 60,000 - 85,000€ + MBO up to 15% + benefits.

No people management responsibilities.
