Our client is a well-established and market-leading civil contractor, seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Project Manager - Demolition to join their growing team.
About the company
They provide services across various sectors such as building, government, industrial, transport infrastructure, and environmental projects. The role involves contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects, predominantly demolition, with values ranging from $1m to over $20m.
Role responsibilities
- Working on tenders
- Planning and scheduling construction activities
- Managing site project teams
- Ensuring quality assurance, managing costs and time
- Preparing management reports
- Resolving site issues promptly
- Liaising with clients and stakeholders
- Coordinating internal and external resources
- Business development
- Recruitment and mentoring teams
Qualifications and experience
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
- 5-15+ years’ management experience on demolition and civil projects ($1m to $20m+)
- Proven demolition project experience, ideally managing projects over $20m
- Project management qualifications are advantageous
- Hands-on understanding of construction processes
- Strong leadership and delegation skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Conflict resolution and client expectation management skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
