We are looking for an experienced and proactive Housekeeping Manager to join our hotel's leadership team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the professional and cost-effective management of the Housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a dynamic housekeeping team, ensuring operational excellence and delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the housekeeping team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Manage daily housekeeping operations, including scheduling, task assignments, and productivity monitoring.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate record of staff rosters & time attendance.
• Ensure compliance in staff management at all times, in compliance with the Hospitality Award and our internal policies.
• Develop and maintain housekeeping service standards and health & safety policies.
• Oversee outsourced housekeeping teams, ensuring service aligns with Lanson Place’s high standards.
• Manage inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment.
• Work closely with the Laundry provider to maintain superior laundering standards for linen, uniforms, and guest laundry.
• Ensure Lost & Found processes are properly recorded and handled in line with hotel policies.
• Liaise with Front Desk & Maintenance to coordinate room readiness.
• Maintain the security of housekeeping keys, storerooms, and guest rooms.
• Partner with external contractors for deep cleaning tasks, ensuring contractual standards are met.
• Ensure public and back-of-house areas are cleaned and maintained to brand and operational standards.
• Monitor housekeeping expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Handle guest requests and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance service standards, optimize costs, and improve efficiency.

About You:

Proven experience in a senior housekeeping leadership role within luxury hotels or serviced residences.

Knowledge and practice of staff management and rostering, in compliance with the Hospitality Award.
Strong leadership attributes with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Clear communication and collaboration skills to engage across multiple departments.

A solutions-focused mindset with strategic and forward-planning abilities.
Financial and commercial acumen to manage budgets and control costs effectively.
A strong eye for detail—seeing things through the guest’s perspective.
Exceptional problem-solving skills to ensure seamless daily operations.
