This role involves working in an international environment focused on hydro projects. Reporting to the Group Insurance Director, the Insurance Legal Specialist will possess key technical skills including:
Liability Insurance Line Management: Renewing and placing global master general and professional liability policies, managing local and project policies, collaborating with brokers, insurers, and teams to ensure coverage aligns with business needs, and managing complex global third-party liability claims.
Cyber Insurance Line Management: Renewing and placing global cyber insurance policies, collaborating with IT and internal teams, overseeing underwriting, and leading cyber incident response for insurance.
Risk Management: Analyzing loss data, identifying exposures, recommending solutions, and monitoring compliance with insurance procedures.
Contract Review: Reviewing and negotiating customer insurance requirements in EPC contracts to ensure compliance with master insurance programs.
M&A Support: Soliciting quotes for reps and warranties insurance, analyzing offers, and facilitating insurance processes for mergers and acquisitions.
Qualifications:
Preferably a legal background, with a focus on common law.
At least 10 years of experience in an insurance company, insurance department of an international company, or law firm.
Deep understanding of third-party liability insurance, litigation, and insurance markets.
Ability to work in a global setting, including international travel.
Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
Independent, precise, problem-solving, team-oriented, and globally focused.
