Position Overview
As an Industry Account Executive for the Public Sector in Austria, your goal is to drive business growth by selling SAP Cloud solutions, especially within the framework of the RISE strategy. You will focus on expanding our presence in the public sector by prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities, leveraging SAP's resources to solve customer challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sales for SAP Cloud solutions, focusing on the RISE strategy.
- Identify and develop sales strategies for business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and consultation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Achieve revenue targets and contribute to growth strategies.
Account and Customer Relationship Management
- Manage and grow customer accounts to exceed revenue targets.
- Develop tailored account plans for long-term success.
- Become a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs and delivering value.
- Gain insights into customer technology landscapes and growth plans.
- Create business plans addressing customer priorities using value engineering and ROI data.
Roadmap to Success
- Develop a customer-centric strategy and own the commercial relationship.
- Lead sales efforts aligned with customer strategies and product roadmaps.
- Expand to the cloud and maximize customer lifetime value.
Demand Generation and Opportunity Management
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline.
- Work with marketing and partners to generate and nurture leads.
- Leverage SAP's cloud offerings to maximize sales opportunities.
- Advance and close sales opportunities effectively.
- Promote the value of SAP Business Suite and execute upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
- Coordinate deployment of teams for successful sales outcomes.
- Use best practice sales models and maintain accurate CRM data.
Leading Virtual Account Teams
- Coordinate remote teams to achieve shared goals.
- Align account teams and partners with account strategies.
- Maximize the value of sales support organizations.
Experience & Educational Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years in complex business software and IT solutions sales.
- Proven success in Business Application software sales.
- Knowledge of the Austrian public sector is a plus.
- Experience leading collaborative sales teams.
- Ability to handle large transactions and long sales cycles.
- Strong negotiation skills, especially in renewals, expansions, and upsells.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
