Splunk is seeking a highly motivated, outcome-focused individual to join our pre-sales Solutions Engineering team as a Solutions Engineer within the Austrian Enterprise Sales team. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be a technical sales resource supporting our clients across various verticals, serving as the authority on the technical aspects of our solutions and their integration within clients' workflows and tooling.

The Solutions Engineer will help unify, advance, and expand the value of the Splunk portfolio by providing deep technical expertise to implement Security and Observability use-cases. You will be the technical account leader for customers, partnering with them and internal teams to ensure long-term success and growth. Your responsibilities include engaging with customers on a wide range of technical issues, aligning use-cases with Splunk capabilities, and collaborating with Solution Architects to operationalize advanced solutions.

A successful candidate will maintain a thorough understanding of Splunk solutions and build cross-functional relationships to support growth and impact.

What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain expertise in Splunk’s portfolio and its alignment with customer challenges.
  2. Manage the technical engagement and experience for your accounts.
  3. Increase penetration of Splunk’s products within your accounts.
  4. Implement Splunk’s solutions in customer environments, including hybrid/cloud, security, and observability.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with key customer personas.
  6. Coordinate with technical resources to ensure optimal customer outcomes.
  7. Promote Splunk’s use-cases at industry events and customer meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. 2-4 years of experience in selling and delivering enterprise software solutions in cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
  2. Experience working with SaaS delivery models.
  3. Knowledge of cyber security and/or observability (highly desired).
  4. Ability to develop and lead customer technical strategies.
  5. Familiarity with programming/scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  6. Proven experience in IT Operations, enterprise management, DevOps, analytics, etc.
  7. Experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) is highly desirable.
  8. Experience with monitoring solutions, SIEM, and Observability tools.
  9. Experience in security domains like EDR, XDR, SOC, SOAR, ITOps is a plus.
  10. Experience working with Austrian enterprise customers is a plus.

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  3. Excellent presentation and data storytelling skills.
  4. Good time management and adaptability.
  5. Organized and analytical problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken.
  7. Practical experience with Splunk or similar solutions is a plus.
  8. Willingness to travel across Germany.
