Job Description:

Do you want to deepen your knowledge by getting some work experience and as cherry on top doing your master thesis with a future-oriented company on a real-life topic? The KAI Competence Center for Automotive and Industrial Electronics was founded in 2006, is a 100% subsidiary of Infineon, and is located in the Villach Technology Park. The focus of our research is the reliability of power semiconductors in automotive and industrial applications. Our team in Villach is looking forward to receiving your application!

At KAI, we create reliability test methods and systems. To reduce our development time, we want to extend our existing rapid prototyping workflow with the ability to program the Infineon AURIX controller. The MATLAB/Simulink-based workflow will have to include existing software and controller concepts to fit into the existing test system landscape. Therefore, during your thesis project, we expect you to become a growing expert for the MATLAB embedded coder-based programming of microcontrollers.

This means you will need to acquire special knowledge and perform the following tasks:

  1. Learn about the concepts of programming Infineon AURIX with the MATLAB/Simulink environment
  2. Improve your skills in embedded programming with MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++ and state-of-the-art toolchains
  3. Develop a methodology to program the AURIX from MATLAB/Simulink environment
  4. Design, build and evaluate a working prototype
  5. Document your results by writing and submitting your Master thesis

This thesis has to be written in cooperation with a university.
