IOT Application Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive and support the integration of BLE Controller firmware with third-party vendors.
• Integrate BLE Controller firmware for infrastructure devices like access points.
• Maintain and update BLE Controller firmware.
• Verify BLE controller communication between Host and Controller.
• Verify BLE controller communication between Controller and End devices.
• Work actively on coexistence solutions with other HF protocols.
• Analyze and verify communication between cloud and end device from an BLE access point’s perspective.
• Research causes of issues between BLE Host and Controller, especially BLE traffic (HCI and air traffic).
• Implement and support testing and verification systems.
• Drive automated testing for BLE controller verification.

Qualifications

Education:

• University of Applied Sciences or higher technical college (with experience) in telematics, information and computer technology, or equivalent training.

Experience:

• At least 3 years as an IoT Application Expert in R&D or similar roles in development and/or testing.
• High experience with air/radio sniffers, logic analyzers, log analysis.
• Expertise in embedded/IoT radio protocols, especially Bluetooth Low Energy, BLE traffic analysis, firmware development for BLE controllers, Zephyr, Simplicity Studio, Ellisys, Salea.

Skills and Abilities

• Coding skills in C/C++, Python, scripting.
• Fluent in English, conversational in German.
• Strong technical understanding.
• Good analytical thinking skills.
• Interest in computer science.
• Ability to abstract for solution modeling.
• Willingness for further training on new technologies and legal aspects.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours for troubleshooting.

For this position, a minimum gross salary of €3,843 per month applies, with potential overpayment depending on qualifications.
