We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join our team of dedicated mental health professionals. This role is ideal for an experienced Clinical Psychologist ready to take on a part-time leadership position, offering the opportunity to shape clinical frameworks, mentor emerging psychologists, and influence service excellence across a dynamic team.

The role:
The Clinical Lead / Senior Clinical Psychologist is a leadership role that provides support and oversight of Navigator’s Psychological Services Department. This position will work closely with the Head of Psychological Services and will contribute to clinical governance, supervise psychologists (including clinical registrars and postgraduate students), and develop and implement Navigator’s psychological frameworks and standards. The role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care across all Navigator Group’s Psychological Programs.
Responsibilities:
As a Registered or Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key role in:
• Lead Clinical Governance – Develop and oversee frameworks to ensure high standards of care, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Supervise and Mentor – Provide individual and group supervision to Clinical Psychologists, registrars (including 5+1 and Clinical Registrar programs), and postgraduate students.
• Build Clinical Capability – Design and deliver tailored training and development initiatives across the psychology team.
• Consult on Complex Cases – Provide expert guidance in high-risk and complex client situations.
• Shape Strategy and Culture – Contribute clinical insight to service design and lead initiatives promoting clinical excellence.
• Engage Externally – Build relationships with universities, external stakeholders, and partners to support placements, supervision pathways, and Navigator’s reputation.
• Client Consultations – Assess clients’ psychological needs and deliver targeted interventions to support recovery.
• Collaborate – Work within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a holistic and person-centred recovery approach.
• Represent – Opportunity to represent Navigator Group and psychological services in leadership forums, conferences, and other external opportunities.
Who We’re Looking For:
• Registered Clinical Psychologist with Clinical endorsement (AHPRA).
• Board Approved Supervisor (or willingness to obtain).
• Minimum 7 years post-registration experience, including leadership or senior supervisory roles.
• Proven ability to supervise Clinical Psychology registrars and students.
• Strong expertise in evidence-based therapies.
• Confident in developing clinical frameworks, governance processes, and risk management strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
• (Desirable) Understanding of the compensable injury sector.
