What is the role?
The AFP’s corporate enabling services (human resources, finance, procurement, strategy, policy, governance, property, exhibits) are delivered through a tiered operating model. Service standards are set by the COO portfolio, with support services provided via a centralised helpdesk (Tier 1). Command-specific services are delivered by co-located CCSUs (Tier 2), and strategic and specialist services by centres of excellence (Tier 3).
This role leads a high-performing CCSU to deliver diverse corporate services at Tier 2. As a Corporate Business Partner (CBP), you embody AFP’s values, foster an inclusive culture, and apply strategic, practical, and problem-solving approaches to your work. You lead and manage a team of professional staff, ensuring effective communication and change management, aligned with AFP policies and governance standards.
As an AFP Executive Leader, you work under broad direction from senior executives. You shape the AFP’s strategic direction through the services your team provides, in line with the AFP values, corporate plan, leadership continuum, and performance charter.
You possess in-depth knowledge of the AFP's operations (or the ability to develop it) and understand the impact of corporate functions. You are motivated, client-focused, forward-thinking, and skilled in relationship management, providing insightful advice to stakeholders. You leverage partnerships locally, nationally, and globally to build sustainable solutions, balancing strategic decisions with sound judgment and innovation.
