We are seeking a dedicated Safety Manager who is eager to take on the challenge of ensuring the highest standards of safety across our business. Having recently been engaged on some of the most significant infrastructure projects in Victoria, we want someone to lead from the front and drive a strong safety culture.
As Safety Manager, you will be instrumental in cultivating a culture of safety, anticipating the dynamic needs of projects, and protecting our workforce and the environment.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety management systems aligned with Lantrak’s policies and project requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and enforce preventative measures to ensure the well-being of all project personnel.
- Monitor compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and drive continuous improvement of safety practices.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into operational procedures.
- Investigate incidents, analyse root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Engage with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and environmental organisations, to promote Lantrak’s safety and sustainability standards.
- Report on safety performance, set benchmarks, and drive initiatives that foster a zero-harm environment.
What we are looking for:
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Certifications and training in safety management systems and risk assessment.
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role, preferably within the construction or logistics industry.
- A thorough understanding of legal health and safety guidelines and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to influence a culture that prioritises safety across all levels of operations.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices in the workplace.
