General Manager | We are recruiting for a General Manager to oversee the running of the brand new production facility
Salary - TBC
Role Duties:
Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Align production plans with business forecasts, budgets, and market demands.
Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Lead, mentor, and manage manufacturing teams, including supervisors, engineers, and production staff.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Analyse financial reports and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and certifications.
Oversee quality control processes and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular audits.
Ensure adherence to industry regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Stay updated on manufacturing technologies and methodologies to maintain competitiveness.
Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to manage raw materials and inventory levels.
Ensure timely delivery of finished products to meet customer demands.
Communicate manufacturing performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.
Act as a liaison between production teams and other departments such as sales, R&D, and logistics.
Address and resolve production issues, equipment failures, or other operational disruptions promptly.
Develop contingency plans to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing processes.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement necessary adjustments.
Promote environmentally sustainable practices within manufacturing processes.
Lead efforts to reduce energy consumption, emissions, and waste.
Experience:
Experience working within a commercial vehicle industry would be preferred.
Previous management experience is essential.
Welding and fabrication knowledge is essential.
