The People Plugin is partnering with PixelForce, an award-winning app development agency behind SWEAT (the worlds #1 fitness app) and other multi-million dollar success stories based in Adelaide, to find a talented Senior Web Developer with deep expertise in both Shopify and React. In this dual-platform role, youll take complete ownership of Shopify e-commerce projects—from technical consultation through to launch—while also contributing frontend expertise to sophisticated React-based applications as part of cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities

• Shopify Project Ownership
• Lead full-cycle Shopify builds, including scoping, development, and delivery
• Join client discovery calls and contribute to technical sales conversations
• Implement custom themes, app integrations, and site optimisation
• Manage timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations
• Deliver pixel-perfect builds that perform and convert

• React Frontend Development
• Build high-quality React components for complex web apps
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers
• Follow best practices in responsive design, accessibility, and performance
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and QA processes

• Technical SEO & Performance Optimisation
• Implement SEO best practices across both platforms
• Optimise Core Web Vitals and page performance
• Configure tracking tools (GA, Search Console, etc.) and structured data
• Ensure code is clean, semantic, and production-ready

• Commercial Impact & Growth
• Identify upsell and optimisation opportunities in Shopify projects
• Stay up to date with Shopify releases, React ecosystem updates, and modern tooling
• Mentor junior team members and support agency-wide knowledge sharing

About You

Youre a versatile and commercially minded developer who thrives at the intersection of technical craftsmanship and client impact. Whether youre leading a Shopify build from scratch or contributing clean, scalable code to a React-based application, you bring clarity, precision, and a problem-solving mindset to everything you do. Youre comfortable leading client conversations, enjoy collaborating across design and engineering teams, and take real pride in delivering pixel-perfect results. You understand the business outcomes behind technical choices and have a sharp eye for opportunities to improve site performance, SEO, and usability. With proven agency or fast-paced delivery experience, youre used to juggling timelines, communicating clearly, and producing work youre proud to ship — even when the pressures on. Youre also highly organised, solutions-focused, and have a strong sense of ownership over your work.

Skills & Experience

• 3+ years advanced Shopify development experience, including end-to-end project ownership from client consultation through to delivery
• Advanced React development capabilities, collaborating on large-scale applications
• Strong understanding of technical SEO and optimisation strategies
• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to pixel-perfect frontend execution
• Commercial mindset — able to align technical recommendations with business goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both client-facing and technical
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-quality delivery environments — ideally agency or product studio
• Experience with performance optimisation tools, cross-device testing, and CMS integrations
• Desirable: experience with headless CMS platforms (e.g. CraftCMS, Contentful, Strapi)
