Head of Operations Engineering

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to define, plan, implement, and optimize processes in the supply chain from suppliers to end customers. You will work on developing and executing projects within the B&R supply chain environment, both internally and externally. You will also showcase your expertise by driving automation projects, optimizing cross-functional systems and processes, and contributing to process governance. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid. This role contributes to the Machine Automation division in Eggelsberg (Österreich). Main stakeholders are internal supply chain teams, suppliers, and international ABB sales units. You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Planning and implementing projects in the B&R supply chain environment (internal and external).
  2. Optimizing cross-functional systems and processes within the supply chain.
  3. Collaborating in global and interdisciplinary teams, including taking on sub-project leadership.
  4. Creating and interpreting value stream analyses.
  5. Ensuring sustainable process governance (including KPI definition and monitoring).
  6. Optimizing and standardizing logistics processes.
  7. Supporting the development of a SAP key-user organization.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are highly skilled in logistics processes, supply chain management, and process optimization, with experience in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • You have proven project management experience in supply chain-related projects.
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP (MM, PP, SD).
  • You are passionate about structured, solution-oriented, and independent work, combined with strong implementation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, economic mindset, and ability to interpret value stream analyses.
  • Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and assertiveness.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
  • You are at ease communicating in English and German (written and spoken).
