Food Application Manager

We are expanding our Application team and are looking for an ambitious and motivated application technologist. The new Development & SOYlutions Center is focusing on meat alternatives, dairy alternatives, bakery and confectionery market segments.

Application Manager Food Ingredients (f/m/d)

Industry: Food Ingredients / Plant Proteins

Location: On-site in Vienna (Full-time)

Main Responsibilities

• Develop new recipes proactively and based on customer requests with a focus on the bakery and sweet baked goods market segment.
• Provide expert technical advice to sales, marketing, and customers, primarily for bakery applications
• You will act as a technical contact for selected key customers and build customer relationships with their R&D teams (including customer visits).
• Develop new application ideas and product concepts in close alignment with marketing
• Participating in exhibitions globally
• Manage and maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment

Key Requirements

• Fachhochschule/Technical College or Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in a food application lab.
• You are an industrial experienced application technologist and worked in the food ingredients industry for bakery or baked goods industry.
• Proven practical experience with a hands-on mentality
• Understanding of selected food applications, ingredients, and processes with practical experience in customer’s food manufacturing environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English are mandatory
• Think globally and work easily with many different cultures
• Excellent team player and enjoys working with customers
• You are a motivated, solution-oriented, self-motivated person who works in a structured and organized manner
