Job Overview

This position offers an opportunity to pursue a PhD while gaining hands-on experience in applied research. You will work on developing innovative inverter topologies for industrial applications within the DC-Microgrid research project, collaborating with SAL and Graz University of Technology (TU Graz).

Responsibilities

• Topology optimization and EMI filter design
• Control system development
• Hardware design and PCB layout
• System testing under varying DC input and non-linear loads

Candidate Profile

• Master’s degree in Power Electronics or related field
• Strong background in inverter/converter topologies, semiconductor devices, EMI, control design, measurement & testing, PCB design (preferably with Altium), MATLAB/Simulink
• Independent and structured working style
• Excellent English skills
• Willingness to relocate to Graz

Additional Information

• Dual employment at SAL and TU Graz, with a co-employment framework for PhD thesis
