ASO7 ($108,109 - $116,864) + Superannuation

In this key role you will be heavily involved in managing our financial operations, providing high level financial analysis and advice, and supporting financial decision-making processes. You will assist in the management of the strategic delivery of critical, high level financial and budgetary reporting functions, and related monitoring, analysis and forecasting, which contribute significantly to our effective, innovative and compliant financial management.

You will also establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and provide financial leadership, motivation, education and advice to the finance professionals in our Finance & Analytics team.

The experience we are looking for…

To be successful in our position you will have:

Ability to liaise and communicate effectively, including consultation and negotiation with a wide range of stakeholders, to facilitate their cooperation and support to achieve desired outcomes and to establish and maintain strong and productive working relationships.

Demonstrated experience in financial and budget management practices, processes and reporting, that aligns with accounting standards and governance frameworks, ideally in a government context.

Proven ability to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, financial policies, procedures and processes, and recommend and implement appropriate solutions to strengthen the financial management function of the organisation.

Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyse and evaluate complex financial information, identify strategic risks and issues, and recommend appropriate solutions to promote financial compliance.

Special Conditions

Appointment will be subject to the provision of a satisfactory Criminal History Check that is no more than six months old.

Some out of hours work may be required.
