Senior Electrical PCS Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical PCS Engineer to join our Brisbane team. Following a period of significant growth—now exceeding 90 staff nationwide—we are looking for a technical leader to bridge the gap between heavy industrial infrastructure and advanced automation. Based in our Brisbane CBD Office, you will lead the delivery of complex Process Control Systems for tier‑one clients in the mining, utilities, and renewables sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptual and detailed design of PCS architectures, including the development of functional specifications and IO lists.
• Program and configure PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems across multiple platforms such as Schneider (M580), Rockwell (PlantPAx), and Ignition.
• Design and implement converged IT/OT systems, including industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus) and cybersecurity strategies.
• Conduct functional safety and machinery audits to ensure all systems meet Australian Standards.
• Manage projects from feasibility through to Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT) and final commissioning.

What You Will Bring to the Role

• A degree or advanced diploma in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in heavy industry or automation.
• A genuine enthusiasm for motivating and mentoring junior staff to foster the next generation of engineers.
• Well‑developed skills to convey complex process control functionality to clients and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of relevant standards and eligibility for RPEQ/Chartered status.
• Eligible to work in Brisbane Australia.
