Senior Business Development Manager (Air/Sea)

Senior Business Development Manager(Air/Sea Freight Forwarding)

Location: Tullamarine, VIC
Work Type: Permanent / Full-Time
Salary: $140,000 – $200,000 + Super + Commission (Salary negotiable based on experience)

Vectura Recruitment is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to join a well-established international freight forwarding business. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with deep industry networks and a strong track record in international logistics sales, particularly across air and sea freight forwarding.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of high-value commercial relationships and contribute directly to the long-term growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively source, qualify, and convert new business opportunities across key industry verticals
  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients using CRM tools and data insights
  • Create tailored solutions for clients across air and ocean freight, collaborating with internal operations teams
  • Lead client proposal development including quoting, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
  • Drive strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives and GP targets
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to deepen client relationships and expand service uptake

Skills & Experience

  • Ideally 5 years of proven success in B2B international freight forwarding sales, ideally across both air and sea
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing large account relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and convert a pipeline of high-value opportunities
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels
  • Sound understanding of international trade, Incoterms, and customs brokerage processes
  • Proficient with CRM platforms and sales reporting tools
