Head of Finance Transformation and Strategy - PE backed Retail Group

This fast-growing national retail group is seeking a commercially astute, strategically minded finance leader to take on a newly created executive role: Head of Finance Transformation and Strategy.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will lead a range of strategic initiatives that will shape the next chapter of the organisation’s evolution, including automation, AI integration, finance function transformation, and M&A transactions and integration.

Remuneration

$260,000 - $280000 + Super + Bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Lead transformation across core transactional finance functions (AP, AR, payroll), embedding automation and efficiency.
• Drive strategic projects, including a major expansion of their retail footprint.
• Leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance processes, accuracy, efficiency and commercial decision-making.
• Lead finance-related M&A activity and post-deal integration.
• Build cross-functional alignment across finance, operations, and technology teams.

About You

• Senior finance leader with transformation experience across transactional finance, process improvement and project delivery.
• Exposure to M&A and other capital market transactions is highly regarded.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to connect strategic priorities with operational execution.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business on a national scale.
• Influential communicator and collaborative leader.
