Senior Software Engineering C++ | Product Support Flight Plan Manager

About This Role

The role we are offering you:

  1. Debug code and profile system performance to troubleshoot and fix issues in collaboration with the Customer Care team.
  2. Conduct complex code analysis to explain system behaviors.
  3. Refactor existing code, use TDD techniques, and apply SOLID principles.
  4. Design and develop automated tests.
  5. Maintain a complex code base, including legacy code.
  6. Participate in code reviews.
  7. Write necessary documentation.
  8. Demo software to internal and external customers.
  9. Stay updated with software engineering trends and promote best practices.
  10. Coach and mentor less experienced team members.
  11. Collaborate with architects on executing the architecture vision.
  12. Perform on-call duties.

Our ideal candidate has:

  1. 5+ years of experience in C++.
  2. Object-oriented design and programming, and code refactoring skills.
  3. Knowledge of T-SQL.
  4. Understanding of SDLC and methodologies like SCRUM/Kanban.
  5. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of algorithms.
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and mentorship.
  7. Experience working in global, distributed teams.
  8. Proficiency in English communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Experience in application support.
  2. Experience with messaging products like ActiveMQ.
  3. Knowledge of C# or Java.
  4. Scripting skills such as PowerShell.
  5. Knowledge of microservices and cloud computing.
  6. Experience with JIRA or similar tools.

Location:

  • Euro Plaza, Lehrbachgasse 11, 1120 Wien, Austria.
  • Hybrid work model (3 days in-office per week).
