Organised within the Chief Operating Officer Group within the department, the Information Technology (IT) Division’s purpose is to connect people and technology, empowering the department to excel.
IT Division is responsible for the consolidated provision and support of stable and secure IT Systems, applications, and services to all department users across all States and Territories, including our Indian Ocean Territories and Norfolk Island. It also supports seven Ministerial offices, six Groups, and coordinates with portfolio entities.
The division provides digital collaboration and communication tools necessary to connect a geographically dispersed workforce and optimise hybrid working arrangements. We manage industry and public-facing digital systems, deliver desktop services to over 2,200 staff, support over 30 office locations across Australia, and oversee the department’s cybersecurity capability.
The advertised position is our IT Organisational Change Management (OCM) lead, a recently established role that heads our IT Organisation Change Management capability. The OCM team is key to ensuring the successful adoption of digital modernisation with minimal disruption to our department's business operations. It is critical to uplifting the change management and digital literacy of the division and department.
We are seeking motivated, innovative, and driven individuals to join our team as we progress several exciting IT modernisation activities that will transform how we work and deliver IT services. This is a relatively new role for the division, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to build a capability at the forefront of our modernisation efforts, with scope to make it their own.
What will you do?
