We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer (SDE) intern with strong data and machine learning knowledge to develop a system that recommends personalized Prime Video content for millions of living room devices, enhancing user engagement. You will work under the guidance of Prime Video engineers, utilizing data manipulation tools such as Pyspark, NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn, along with AWS technologies like SageMaker, to create features that make Prime Video content more discoverable on living room devices.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of classical machine learning frameworks and algorithms, excellent communication skills, and a strong motivation to achieve results with mentorship support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Python programming and data analysis libraries (Pyspark, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn)
  • Understanding of basic machine learning concepts and algorithms (e.g., Neural Networks, XGBoost, Transformers)
  • Experience with PyTorch or other deep learning frameworks
  • Knowledge of recommendation systems or personalization techniques
  • Experience with AWS services, particularly SageMaker
  • Experience in feature engineering and model evaluation metrics
  • Familiarity with PySpark or other big data processing frameworks

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience building solutions using AWS technologies
