About the role
We are seeking a hands-on Senior IT Systems Administrator to assist with the management and support of our IT infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Inner Range IT Manager, this onsite role involves project-based work, maintenance of on-premises and hosted environments, managing tasks through a ticketing system, and direct interaction with internal users and sub-contractors. You will manage cloud-based Microsoft platforms, corporate networks, Windows, Mac, and Linux devices, Active Directory, and other cloud systems. Additionally, you will oversee hosted application provisioning, address cybersecurity concerns, and monitor overall system health to ensure reliable and secure operations.
What you'll be doing
- Project-based work - Collaborate with IT staff to determine and implement new IT systems according to requirements.
- IT Systems Maintenance - Administer and maintain on-premises and cloud-based systems such as MS Active Directory, Office 365, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, Pronto, GitHub, Wix, Zoho, and others.
- Network Management - Maintain and troubleshoot corporate network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, wireless), ensuring performance, security, and uptime.
- Device Management - Support Windows and Mac desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- User Management - Manage onboarding processes, including account setup, application provisioning, and device configuration for new users.
- Cybersecurity - Assist in identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks, implementing security protocols, and ensuring compliance with best practices.
- Support Tickets - Resolve complex Level 2 and 3 support tickets reported by staff via the ticketing system.
- General IT Support - Provide technical support, manage software licenses, warranties, asset inventories, and maintain IT documentation.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, with experience in Mac and Linux preferred.
- Experience managing Azure services and hosted environments, including billing and resources.
- Proficiency in network administration and Active Directory management.
- Familiarity with hosted server management and applications.
- Ability to handle cybersecurity issues and maintain system security.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive approach.
- Strong communication skills for effective user interaction.
- Experience with support ticketing systems for managing tasks and priorities.
