Overview
Key leadership member of Agile PMO Team collaborating to define overall Agile practices, delivery frameworks, and measure success of agile program at Radancy. Direct personnel manager and responsible for successful outcomes tied to specific programs. Participant in Roadmap Operations initiatives as needed to ensure smooth cross-team collaboration and operation of entire Product and Engineering organization.
What does a great Director of Agile Project Management do?
Oversee Scrum ceremonies for individual teams and program events
Lead events like Scrum of Scrums, Feature Refinement, and escalation calls
Includes Monthly Stakeholder Syncs, Combined Sprint Reviews, and Community of Practice Events
Drive Quarterly Planning activities, workshops, reviews, and retrospectives
Setup, improve and maintain business enablement tools
Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers through Program Increment summaries
Participate in global Roadmap Ops and provide specific support to EU Engineering teams as required
Serve as an escalation point for non-production critical issues and support IRP process adherence
Report on the status of Enhancement Prioritization Requests related to roadmap increments
Ensure accurate tracking and versioning of release plans and tickets
Coordinate schedules around global holidays, and secure resource allocation for vendor teams
PMO Leadership Responsibilities:
Assume direct report of a team of 4-6 project and program mangers
Conduct performance reviews for the Agile Program Manager group
Hold weekly 1-on-1’s with teammates to resolve problems and provide professional coaching and development
Lead hiring, onboarding, and training efforts of the PMO
Encourage and oversee continuous process improvement initiatives within the PMO
Act as a champion and innovator of agile processes
Qualifications:
Effective manager, leader, and coach in global SAAS environment
Proven experience in Agile Program Management
Strong understanding of Scrum ceremonies and program events
Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and Tempo
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to coordinate and manage cross-functional teams
Strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement
