Deputy Principal - Head of Wheelers Hill Junior Campus

The Role

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice Principal and working closely with the Executive and Campus Leadership team, the Deputy Principal - Head of Wheelers Hill Junior Campus will oversee and lead the implementation of the school's strategic agenda. The role is a pedagogical leadership position focused on driving the Teaching and Learning outcomes guided by the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). As a member of the Executive and Campus Leadership Team, the Head of Wheelers Hill Junior Campus will develop and manage staff and daily operations of the Junior School, aligned with the school's values.

Key Duties

  • Collaborate with the Campus Leadership Team to lead the school’s strategy, assurance measures, business plans, and organizational goals.
  • Under the direction of the Senior Vice Principal, oversee the development and delivery of campus operational plans.
  • Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency within the Junior School.
  • Manage systems to monitor safety, social conduct, uniform compliance, punctuality, and attendance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the learning program for students and staff, particularly within the IB/PYP framework.
  • Contribute to developing the school's internal capability, fostering a high-performance culture and talent development.
  • Nurture a shared purpose by promoting the School’s Vision and creating alignment across sub-schools and co-curricular areas.
  • Model and embody the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviors.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience leading and implementing Teaching and Learning outcomes in a reputable school.
  • Experience with the IB Primary Years Programme (desirable).
  • Experience in pedagogical and curriculum change leadership; ability to operationalize strategic decisions and foster a positive culture for quality learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current VIT Registration.
