Your role at Dynatrace
As a Senior Product Manager in Application Observability, you will be responsible for the product providing runtime insights to development teams to troubleshoot, debug and optimize their cloud native applications. Application Observability is part of our Observability solution which provides a unified view across the full stack, from applications to infrastructure and user experience, with our AI, Davis, continuously analyzing billions of dependencies to determine root causes and reduce alert storms, enabling proactive actions with the highest impact.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development and execution of the product roadmap and contribute to near-term and long-term product strategy, targeting developers and DevOps engineers.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to help determine product direction.
- Discover new product opportunities by combining customer feedback and analysis to identify where we can leverage core technologies, strengths, and market leadership.
- Understand user problems and, with the design team, develop user flows and wireframes to ensure the solution delivers the best user experience.
- Drive pre-release activities to obtain early adopter customers and sales feedback to iterate on solutions.
- Write compelling product blog posts that engage customers.
- Partner with product marketing to develop targeted messaging, define go-to-market strategies and tactics, and enable the sales team. Guide other customer-facing stakeholders in deploying and adopting new features.
- Take ownership for outcomes—prioritize work across dispersed teams, anticipate risks, and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
- Meet with customers face to face as a product expert at events and user conferences.
What Will Help You Succeed
- 5+ years of product management experience, with success in setting and executing a product roadmap based on research, data, and industry trends.
- Experience as a Backend or DevOps engineer; developing Cloud Native applications is an advantage.
- Technical expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Lambda and similar technologies. Experience in Go, .Net and Java is a plus.
- Experience with cloud technologies and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps concepts and best practices, observability tools and troubleshooting issues.
- Experience in bringing new features to market, defining go-to-market strategies and tracking success with KPIs.
- Customer-focused: understands the target audience and goals, is value-driven, and thinks in use cases; drills into details to understand impact and alignment with product vision.
- "Start with the end in mind and work backwards" mindset to provide clarity of vision and maintain execution focus.
- Strong leadership, initiative, and collaboration skills, including the ability to influence, show patience, and stay determined.
- Sufficient technical understanding to assess tradeoffs and risks with developers.
- Excellent prioritization skills across dispersed teams.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for executives, end users, sales, and engineering teams.

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is €75,000 per year based on full-time employment. A higher salary is offered in line with qualification and experience.
