This position reports to

Global Sourcing Category Manager

Your role and responsibilities

1. Ensure cost optimization for projects within product groups/categories, considering total costs of ownership.
2. Proactively observe and analyze markets for best cost country sourcing.
3. Interface with R&D and suppliers to optimize specifications and drive cost reduction through second sourcing strategies.
4. Lead complex price negotiations and tenders for defined product groups and categories, including bundling, benchmarking, and e-auctions.
5. Identify and implement cost-driven process improvements along the global supply chain.
6. Analyze, control, and report on cost-saving initiatives.
7. Facilitate cost workshops with internal and external stakeholders and implement findings.
8. Maintain strategic cooperation with global ABB/B&R category teams.

Qualifications for the role

1. Successful completion of a business or technical degree.
2. Relevant professional experience of several years in an international procurement environment.
3. Strong market knowledge and experience, particularly in industrial manufacturing.
4. Deep knowledge of levers and opportunities to achieve best-in-class costs.
5. Confident handling of MS Office applications; experience with SAP MM module is an advantage.
6. Very good command of German and English.
7. Diplomatic and assertive personality with strong negotiating skills.
8. High level of self-responsibility and a strong result orientation.
9. Hands-on mentality.

The minimum salary according to the collective agreement of the electrical and electronics industry is €4,215.39 gross/month, with willingness to overpay based on qualifications and experience.
