Data Steward für die Fakultät Soziale und Politische Wissenschaften

Job Description:

  • Support, counselling and needs assessment of researchers
  • Dissemination of research data (third mission)
  • AUSSDA representation including their tasks of the research data cycle
  • Development of discipline‑specific information and training materials
  • Introduction and management of RDM tools and networking with experts

Profile:

  • Completed diploma or master's degree in a social science field of study or a related field; knowledge of science communication is an advantage
  • Interest in or experience in the field of research data management "Open Science" and FAIR Data
  • Knowledge of research practice and understanding of research processes and the role of data and data processing for the quality and reproducibility of research results
  • Knowledge of and in the discipline via statistical software (R, Stata); knowledge of the functional logic of various social media platforms (especially Instagram, Pixelfed, Mastodon, bluesky) an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
  • Interest in or experience in the field of consulting and training
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and precisely
  • High level of reliability, flexibility and resilience; customer and service orientation
  • Commitment and willingness to undergo further training
