Job Opportunity: Backend Developer at Zurich

We are strengthening our IT team in Backend Development starting July. If you would like to bring your experience in .NET or Java into our team, you are exactly right with us!

Join our Customer Services team to work on the following tasks:

1. Further development of our backend applications, focusing on modern methods and quality standards with customer satisfaction as our priority.
2. Contribute your big picture perspective to steer software solutions towards sustainable and future-proof directions.
3. Engage in coding with C# / .NET and collaborate closely with software architecture to implement suitable tools, methods, and technologies.
4. Work with our internal IT departments (developers from other tech stacks, requirements engineering, testing, security, data warehouse) and business units.

What qualities do you bring?

• Experience in .NET software development or Java development.
• Knowledge of hybrid methodologies – Waterfall & Agile (Scrum or Kanban).
• Knowledge of container technologies like Docker or OpenShift and provisioning tools like Ansible is advantageous. RabbitMQ, Camunda, Elastic, and WSO2 are a plus.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps Server.
• Skills in database design and development (MS SQL Server, T-SQL).
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Excellent German and English skills (work language is German).

The gross salary for this role is at least EUR 45,481.80 per year (38.5 hours/week). Depending on your experience and education, we will make you a suitable offer based on current market salaries.
