Game Portfolio Analyst (f/m/d)

The Games Portfolio Analyst is transforming data into knowledge to support and make business decisions. With profound analytical skills, the Games Portfolio Analyst uses scientific methods to answer important questions and defines requirements for collecting required data. The Games Portfolio Analyst explores possibilities to analyze competitor products and other data on operator websites to understand the needs of customers and markets even better. In addition to the analytical part, the Games Portfolio Analyst has an active role in aligning the portfolio strategy with the game studios and Greentube management. Together with the studios, the Games Portfolio Analyst ensures that games are tagged properly to support future analytics.

Your tasks

Game strategy and market analysis

• Establish scientific methods to support strategic business decisions.
• Analyze existing and new markets, including the popularity of games, new features, and game mechanics, and identify gaps in our portfolio.
• Collaborate with our BI team to define and implement reports necessary for strategic decision-making.
• Recommend game portfolios for new markets based on market analysis and collected data.

Enhancement of internal products and tools

• Identify data blind spots, define requirements for additional data collection, and work with development teams to implement solutions.
• Work with the development team to establish player behavior tracking and analysis.
• Establish a process for A/B testing and coordinate with development teams to implement necessary features.
• Ensure proper tagging of games to analyze the popularity of game mechanics, features, and themes.

Games product support

• Maintain processes for managing and steering the portfolio.
• Collaborate with internal and external game studios worldwide to align portfolio and strategy.
• Make operational decisions based on collected data.

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or field.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Intermediate experience with SQL (preferably MS SQL Server).
• Intermediate experience with reporting tools such as Tableau.
• Understanding of statistical methods.
• Proactive and precise work attitude.
• Enthusiasm for data and figures.
• Customer-oriented mindset.
• High affinity for internet technologies and e-commerce.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English; German is a plus.
