Scientific Profile

The successful candidate will complement the Department of Operations and Information Systems’ research emphasis on the field of closed-loop supply chains and broaden it with regard to sustainability aspects. Application-oriented research and teaching should be initiated whenever possible. Cooperation with companies and business-related institutions would be preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver appropriate teaching courses for students of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, as well as supervising bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral theses.

Employment Requirements

  • Austrian or equivalent foreign higher education degree corresponding with the position (doctorate/PhD)
  • Habilitation or equivalent qualification in Business Administration
  • Outstanding academic qualifications in research and teaching in the relevant discipline (commensurate with stage of academic career and interruptions in employment due to caring responsibilities)
  • Skills in higher education didactics including the use of digital media
  • Gender mainstreaming and diversity management skills
  • Skills in attracting subject-specific project grants
  • Professional experience abroad during academic career
  • Management and leadership experience
  • Good knowledge of German and English

Selection Criteria

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, aiming for academic excellence and integrity in research and teaching. He/she will have demonstrated ability to collaborate constructively in a responsible manner and inspire colleagues and students in an interdisciplinary, internationally oriented context.
