EL2 Risk Manager - PMO

On behalf of a large federal government agency that’s making a meaningful impact for Australians, we’re seeking an experienced EL2 Risk Manager - PMO to lead a team and provide expert risk and assurance guidance across a major transformation program.

This is a 12 month assignment, working Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week. The role will be a hybrid work arrangement, 3 days in office. The locations are Brisbane, QLD; Surry Hills, SW; Deakin, ACT; Richmond, VIC; Geelong, VIC; Adelaide, SA; Perth, WA; Darwin, NT; Hobart, TAS & Devonport, TAS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a multidisciplinary team within a PMO environment
• Manage program and project risk registers, compliance and assurance
• Deliver strategic risk insights and executive-level reporting
• Develop and maintain risk management frameworks, policies and plans
• Drive program performance through strong governance and risk oversight
• Build and manage relationships across government and stakeholders

To be considered you will demonstrate:

• Strong background in large-scale project/program support in a PMO
• Proficient in risk frameworks and project methodologies
• High-level reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing risk and assurance activities

Desirable skills:

• Skilled in running risk workshops and writing executive briefings
• Experience in providing risk advice and reporting to relevant governance bodies including drafting of executive briefing papers.
• Experience advising project teams on risk identification and control measures

As this role is with a Federal Government Agency, applicants are required to be Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
